Our History

AIB Group was formed over a decade ago by MD Aaron Mills to meet the increasing need for bespoke security solutions to an ever-evolving industry and to challenge what he felt were damagingly complacent standards accepted by many providers.

The company brought together a wealth of experience with the management team offering decades of frontline experience in the industry encompassing close protection, door supervision, retail and residential guarding and event security.

In subsequent years, AIB has expanded into training and systems, whilst growing its client base and building a stellar reputation for exceeding expectations whilst tailoring solutions to budgetary and logistical demands.

Highlights of the past year include sole security provider for the internationally renowned Reggaeland Festival; renewal of guarding contracts from estate development to country homes and high profile close protection details in the sport and entertainment sectors.

From its Milton Keynes head office the company offers a full scope of security provisions some of the newest industry technology including solar powered “dalek” guard towers, electronic protection and a network of training centres throughout the country offering accredited qualifications from First Aid to conflict management and physical intervention to the highest level.

Work is currently underway to formalise the latest addition to the AIB Group, AIB Medics. AIB Medics will be accredited to provide Event Medics with EFAW and FREC qualifications as well as PMVA training to support patients with mental health issues within hospital and transport settings.

Hello, I’m Scott and I have spent more than a decade crafting the dynamics of security management and emergency medical response across numerous high-stress environments. My career journey has been both rewarding and diverse, spanning roles from being a Head Doors Supervisor and Security Manager in various nightclubs and security companies, to enhancing my skills as security for mentally unwell patients at NHS hospitals around the south- west, ensuring their safety and that of the hospital staff caring for them.

In addition to my extensive experience in security, I ventured into the sports stadium security industry, where I developed strategies to manage large crowds and high-pressure situations effectively. My commitment to public safety and emergency response propelled me to become a qualified First Response Medic. In this role, I have provided critical pre-hospital care at trauma scenes, often under challenging conditions, and executed life-saving procedures with precision and composure.

Inspired by a passion to share the wealth of knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated, I have transitioned into a Training Instructor. In this chapter of my career, I am dedicated to preparing the next generation of security and medical professionals. My teaching philosophy centers on not just imparting skills but also building confidence and creating a supportive, engaging classroom environment where all students feel at ease and motivated to learn, whilst smiling and laughing throughout the process!

Each step of my career has reinforced my belief in the power of proper training and the importance of real-world experience. I am excited to guide and inspire new trainees, helping them to excel within the fields of security and emergency medical services

I am a former police officer, having served for 8 years in an array of different frontline roles, including, CBRN-Counter Terrorism, 999 Response and Level 2 Public order, before leaving at the rank of Acting Sgt.

I then obtained my first SIA badge and for many years worked as a Door Supervisor in Southend on sea, Canvey Island, Chelmsford and Colchester. During these positions I have experience all manner of things, including being shot at.

As well as a Door supervisors licence, I trained as a Close protection operative and have worked all over the UK and Europe for a number of Celebrities, sports stars, UHNW and Foreign national dignitaries as personal protection officer.

In 2017, I qualified as a trainer, and since then expanded my skill set to deliver: Door supervisor, Close protection, CCTV, Advanced control and restraint, Mechanical restraints, Level 3 FAAW and Paediatric first aid.

Most people fall into security by accident, and at this point there are 2 options, 1, it’s a job to earn some money or, 2, it’s a profession. I picked option 2, and through hard work and continued professional development. I recognised that industry standards were falling, and rather than complaining about decided to do something. Qualify and train those who work for me myself.

I have always had a passion for teaching security courses. This love of security led to a career in the security industry. My first security job was in 2006 at Tesco in Reading. I have gained lots of experience working in retail, construction, festivals, and night venues. I quickly adopted a positive customer focused approach when dealing with clients and the public. In my free time, I enjoys cooking, listening music and trekking. I also likes to research in latest security systems and knowledge. While teaching allows me to earn additional income, it’s also a hobby. I have served in the military and love to get involved in fundraising activities with various charities and organizations that support veterans.
