Course Guidelines

The three day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualifies you to be an HSE approved first aider at work for a period of three years, after which a refresher must be taken.

It includes a mix of practical assessment and multiple choice testing and involves the use of a CPR dummy, AED defibrillator training and a variety of practical demonstrations.

Successful completion of the course will give you the skills to assess a situation in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency; administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator; administer first aid to an unconscious, choking, wounded or bleeding casualty, to a casualty who is suffering from shock and provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.
